524 If the world is a cold, wild place, those who would rather be..

will bury their heads in the ground, whilst others will blossom

My grandfather Arthur George Mason would have been 126 years today. From Cambridgshire, during the early C20th, he blossomed through the opportunities which came his way with his small business, passion for bell ringing and family. In later life, he also grew to love his garden. In post war England, living through both world wars, he took “rather be” and made it positive for all around him. Along with many others, those generations learned that the meaning of  “rather be.”. was in ‘rather be living in peace and getting on with it'”.
